Things to know
Our cottages are let for a minimum of seven nights, from Friday to Friday although every effort will be made to accommodate your preferred dates if different. Requests should be made to our agent who will confirm availability on reservations@langnesslighthouse.com
Both cottages are available from 4pm on the day of arrival and we ask our guests to vacate no later than 10am on the day of departure to ensure thorough housekeeping between occupancies.
On booking we take a £250 deposit for accommodation. Bookings for the TT Races and MPG Fortnights will require a 50% deposit. Full settlement for your stay must be made latest six weeks before your date of arrival.
Should you wish to amend the dates of your booking please email reservations@langnesslighthouse.com. If a cancellation is requested within six weeks of your arrival, we will endeavour to re-let the cottages however we strongly recommend you have appropriate travel insurance in place to cover the cost.
Please be aware there is strictly no camping or camper vans allowed on the property or surrounding area. The number of visitors to the cottages should not exceed six at any one time. Please be aware that all visitors to the cottages must keep the gates closed at all times to prevent livestock escaping.
We regret that we cannot be responsible for any loss or damage to personal items during your visit. We therefore recommend that valuables are not left unattended and guests have a travel insurance policy.
On arrival our housekeepers will ensure your cottage is supplied with complimentary items such as tea, coffee, sugar, milk, bread and butter to welcome you to Langness.
In order to make your stay as carefree as possible we also provide dishwasher tablets, laundry detergent, fabric softener, loo rolls and towels.
Other items included that you may find useful are torches & batteries, beach towels, iron and ironing board. For the log burner (West Cottage only) we provide complimentary logs, kindling, firelighters and matches.
Despite our rural location, taxi services are readily available throughout the island. We do advise booking in advance for all taxi journeys throughout your stay. A list of local taxis is provided along with other useful information in the guest folders.
We have excellent fibre optic WIFI throughout both our cottages.
We are delighted to welcome dogs at Langness Lighthouse. Please ensure that your pet’s waste is cleared immediately from the grounds and deposited in the appropriate bin.
We respectfully ask our guests not to allow pets onto sofas or beds.We charge an additional housekeeping fee of £30 per cottage (for up to max 2 dogs). It is the owner’s responsibility to insure against damage and personal injury your dog(s) may cause to other people or animals.
Please be aware that all visitors to the cottages must keep the gates closed at all times to prevent livestock escaping.
We operate a no smoking policy in all our cottages. If guests are found to have been smoking the security deposit will be retained.

Rates during TT & MPG are West Cottage £1900 pw and East Cottage £1550 pw.
While the Island is officially the safest place in the British Isles to live, we have CCTV in operation externally for your reassurance and safety.
In the event of any damage or loss to the contents of our cottages including stains to any of the soft furnishings, carpets and rugs, we reserve the right to charge an appropriate fee to the deposit held on account, which would be either the full cost of repairing / cleaning such item(s) or if this is not possible, the replacement cost with new. A damages deposit of £250 will be added to the total booking costs and this will be refunded within seven days of departure.
There is ample free parking at the property. Guests can drive directly to the doors of the individual cottages via the side gate of the property. We are pleased to offer electric car charging to guests of Langness and this can accessed via the main gate.
Langness Peninsula is a rural location and mobile phone coverage can be slightly patchy at times but generally works well.
At Langness we are committed to sustainable practice and the protection of nature and we encourage you to use the appropriate recycling system, details of which are provided within the cottages. We kindly ask that guests do not bring single use plastics and we thank you for helping us protect the beautiful landscape and nature that surrounds us.
